At La Galerie à la Mode, every piece is an intimate expression of design, intention, and timeless elegance. Each item is handcrafted to order, sculpted from noble materials, and created to be felt. Our policies below are designed to ensure clarity, care, and creative integrity.
Each piece is crafted to order with intention, not pulled from warehouse shelves. This made-to-order model minimizes waste, supports artisanal production, and ensures that every item is created specifically for you.

Returns & Exchanges
Due to the bespoke nature of our collection, all furniture, lighting, mirrors, and custom pieces are final sale.
Returns are accepted only for select small décor items and must meet all of the following conditions:

Return is requested within 15 days of delivery

Item is unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging

Includes order number, packing slip, and customer contact details

Item arrives in resellable condition
We do not accept returns for:

We strongly encourage reviewing all product dimensions, materials, and finish options prior to purchase. If color or texture is essential to your project, please request samples to ensure the perfect fit.
Cancellations & Modifications
Orders may only be cancelled or modified within 24 hours of placement.
After this window, production begins and all sales are final.
No changes can be made once materials are secured or fabrication has begun. This applies to all lighting, furniture, and custom work.
Production & Payment Terms
Production begins only after full payment is received. Delays in payment may affect lead times. La Galerie à la Mode reserves the right to cancel unpaid or overdue orders.
Delayed Delivery & Storage
Once production is complete, orders must be shipped or received within 14 business days. Extended storage beyond this window may incur a weekly holding fee. We appreciate your coordination to ensure a smooth and timely delivery process.
Client-Handled Storage Risks
La Galerie à la Mode is not liable for damage, warping, fading, or deterioration resulting from storage or environmental exposure arranged by the client, delayed installation, or environmental conditions (including but not limited to humidity, heat, sunlight, or pests).
For clarity, warranty coverage begins at the date of delivery, not at the time of installation. Any issues arising from storage, delayed installation, or environmental exposure are excluded from warranty coverage.
Shipping, Lead Times & Delivery
All shipping timelines are estimated, not guaranteed. Delays due to port congestion, customs processing, weather, or third-party carriers may occur and do not qualify for cancellation or refund.
Once ready, you will receive tracking information or white glove delivery scheduling details. International shipments may require additional time for customs clearance.
Site Conditions & Installation Compatibility
Clients are solely responsible for ensuring that site conditions are suitable for the ordered product. This includes but is not limited to:

Electrical infrastructure and wiring

Dimmer systems and voltage compatibility

Floor leveling, wall support, or load-bearing capacity
-
Access and clearance for delivery and installation
Professional Installation Required
All lighting, furniture, and mirrors must be installed by qualified, licensed professionals. La Galerie à la Mode does not provide electrical or structural installation services unless expressly contracted.
Exclusions of Responsibility
La Galerie à la Mode is not liable for any damage, malfunction, or performance issues resulting from:

Improper or unlicensed installation

Incompatible site wiring or dimmer systems

Incorrect assembly or modifications by third parties
-
Failure to follow provided technical guidelines or shop drawings

Environmental exposure (humidity, heat, uneven floors, pests)
Client Obligation
It is the client’s responsibility to review all technical documentation, shop drawings, and compatibility requirements prior to installation. Any site-specific adjustments, rewiring, or modifications required for compatibility are the sole responsibility of the client and/or their installer.
Warranty claims are valid only if installation was performed by a licensed professional and site conditions were compatible with the specifications provided. Claims related to improper installation, incompatible dimmers, or undisclosed site conditions are expressly excluded.
White Glove Delivery Notes
If white glove delivery is selected, the service includes placement and packaging removal within your space. Installation, assembly, or mounting services are not included unless previously arranged. Please ensure access is available and flooring is protected on delivery day.
Freight Inspection
Please inspect all deliveries immediately upon arrival:

Do not sign for any visibly damaged package

If damage is suspected, sign “DAMAGED” and take clear photos before opening

Signing without notation may void claims
Re-Upholstery & Alterations
Any requests for re-upholstery, fabric changes, or alterations after delivery are treated as new work, with costs comparable to commissioning a new piece. All shipping, handling, and related expenses are the client’s responsibility. Lead times for re-upholstery may match those of new production.
Warranty Coverage
All La Galerie à la Mode furniture and lighting pieces are covered under a 1-year limited warranty from the date of delivery. This warranty applies exclusively to structural integrity under normal residential use.
Not covered under warranty:

Finish variations or natural material characteristics (veining, color shifts, grain, patina).

Fabric, leather, or COM (client-supplied materials).
-
Wear, stains, scratches, fading, or environmental effects (humidity, heat, pests, sunlight).
-
Improper installation, wiring, or dimmer compatibility.
-
Issues resulting from failure to follow care guidelines or approved shop drawings.
Stone, Tableware & Decorative Objects
Due to the natural properties of marble, alabaster, onyx, and other noble stones, all trays, bowls, coasters, vases, candle holders, and decorative objects are final sale and not covered under warranty.

Natural variations in veining, color, porosity, and texture are inherent to the material and celebrated as part of its authenticity.

Small surface pits, tonal shifts, or fossil markings are not defects.
-
Chipping, breakage, staining, or etching caused by handling, improper use, or environmental exposure is not covered.

These pieces are intended for decorative use only and are not warranted for heavy functional use (cutting, prolonged food exposure, outdoor placement, etc.).
Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 48 hours of delivery:

Documentation requirement: All claims require timely submission of clear photos, video documentation, and requested information. Failure to supply these materials will render the claim ineligible for review or resolution.

Do not discard packaging or attempt a return without approval.
Harassment / combative conduct: La Galerie à la Mode reserves the right to refuse further service in cases of combative conduct, harassment, or repeated unreasonable demands that fall outside agreed terms. In such cases, La Galerie à la Mode may terminate service, and any additional requests will be treated strictly as new, billable scope of work.
Important:
If a public review is submitted prior to notifying our team of an issue, the order will be considered closed and ineligible for warranty resolution. Any further requests will be treated as new scope of work.
We’ll assess and offer a resolution, which may include repair, replacement, or store credit. Claims submitted after 48 hours may not be eligible for support.
Please note:

Normal variations in veining, grain, texture, or upholstery tension are not considered defects and do not qualify for claims.

La Galerie à la Mode does not accept liability for third-party inspections or opinions provided after delivery. Only assessments made by our in-house team or approved service partners are valid for warranty consideration.

La Galerie à la Mode reserves the right to make the final determination on all claims, based on atelier inspections, photographic evidence, and documented approvals.
Refused Deliveries & Cancellations After Shipment
If delivery is refused or cancelled after shipping:

A 25% restocking fee will apply

Refunds will be issued as store credit only

Final Sale items remain non-refundable
Returns Process
If your item is eligible for return:

Samples
Samples are provided as a courtesy. Clients are responsible for return shipping, secure packaging, and any customs or handling fees. Prepaid return labels are not provided. All samples must be returned in reusable condition. Damage or loss must be reported within 48 hours to be considered for reimbursement or replacement.

Lost or Missing Deliveries
If tracking shows your item was delivered but you didn’t receive it:

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items after delivery is confirmed. We recommend shipping to secure locations only.
Natural Materials & Handcrafted Variation
Our collection celebrates the beauty of natural, noble materials, including alabaster, marble, onyx, wood, and artisan-applied finishes. Each piece is handmade, and no two are ever identical.
Subtle differences in veining, tone, grain, or shape are not considered defects, but part of the artistic process. These variations reflect the material’s authenticity and are embraced as part of your piece’s unique character.
For projects requiring precision, we recommend ordering samples. Refunds or exchanges will not be issued for naturally occurring variation.
Artwork Authenticity & Variation
Select artworks are original or printed to order in collaboration with our studio artists. Subtle variations in print tone, framing, or texture may occur due to artisanal processes, natural materials, or screen-to-physical interpretation. These are not considered defects.
All artwork is final sale. We do not accept returns once production begins. If you require precise dimensions, framing options, or material specifications, we encourage reaching out prior to purchase we’re happy to assist.
Photography & Styling Disclaimer
Our pieces are professionally styled and photographed to convey their sculptural presence. Final appearance may vary depending on lighting, environment, and scale. Slight differences between photos and in-person perception are expected.
Color Accuracy
Due to lighting and screen calibration, actual colors may vary slightly from what you see online. Please request finish samples if color is a critical factor for your space.
Partial Refunds
In certain cases, a partial refund may be issued if a returned item does not meet our return requirements. This may apply if:
• The item has been used or is not in its original condition
• Protective packaging is missing
• Damage occurred during return transit due to inadequate packing
• The issue was not reported prior to the return
If this occurs, we will contact you before your return is processed to discuss the appropriate resolution.
Client-Supplied Materials (COM)
We are happy to work with client-supplied fabric or materials when previously approved.
All COM orders must be inspected before production begins. Delays due to fabric delivery, unsuitable material, or unusable yardage may affect timelines or require substitutions.
La Galerie à la Mode is not responsible for issues arising from client-supplied materials.
Chargebacks & Disputes
By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Unauthorized chargebacks or disputes will be contested and may result in blocked future orders and legal action if necessary.
International Orders
Customers are responsible for:

Return shipping, customs fees, import taxes, and brokerage charges

Delays caused by customs processing or refusal of entry
Refunds will be issued only once the item is received and inspected in our studio.
Force Majeure
La Galerie à la Mode is not liable for delays or inability to fulfill orders due to causes beyond our control, including natural disasters, customs holds, political unrest, pandemics, or global freight issues.
Design Rights & Intellectual Property
All product designs, names, photographs, written content, and visual assets shared by La Galerie à la Mode are the exclusive property of our studio. This includes all imagery, styling, product descriptions, and creative direction across our website, social media, and marketing materials.
Any unauthorized use, reproduction, or commercial replication is strictly prohibited.
We take intellectual property and originality seriously. If you believe a work has been used in error, we welcome direct communication. False claims made publicly or without evidence may be subject to legal review and response.
For licensed collaborations, artist inquiries, or press usage, please contact us directly.
Client Approvals for Custom Work
Once custom drawings, finish selections, or material samples are approved by the client, production will begin. At that stage, no cancellations or refunds will be accepted.
Any requests for changes after approval may result in additional fees and adjusted lead times. We strongly encourage clients to review all specifications, dimensions, and finishes carefully before final sign-off.
Trade Program & End Client Responsibility
Orders placed through the La Galerie à la Mode Trade Program are contractual agreements between La Galerie à la Mode and the approved trade account holder (designer, architect, or purchasing firm).

Responsibility: The trade account holder is solely responsible for all communications, approvals, and project management with their end client. La Galerie à la Mode does not enter into direct contractual relationships with end clients of trade accounts and accepts no liability for end-client disputes.

Approvals: Once finish samples, drawings, or order confirmations are approved by the trade account holder, production begins. At that stage, no changes or cancellations will be accepted. Any objections or disputes raised by the end client after approval remain the sole responsibility of the trade professional, not La Galerie à la Mode.

Returns & Claims: All return requests, warranty claims, or service concerns must be submitted directly by the trade account holder. La Galerie à la Mode will not process claims initiated by an end client without the involvement and written authorization of the trade professional. Warranty obligations extend only to the trade account holder of record and are non-transferable to third-party end clients.

Financial Liability: All invoices and payments are the legal responsibility of the trade account holder, regardless of the trade professional’s internal agreements or payment arrangements with their client. Non-payment or disputes between a trade professional and their client do not relieve the trade professional of their financial obligations to La Galerie à la Mode.

Scope of Service : La Galerie à la Mode’s responsibility ends at the point of delivery in accordance with the approved order. Any additional requests, modifications, or conflicts arising between the trade professional and their end client fall outside of La Galerie à la Mode’s scope and will be treated as new, billable work.

Risk of Loss
We are responsible for your order until it is marked as delivered. After confirmed delivery, ownership and responsibility transfer to the client.
Legal Enforcement & Jurisdiction
By placing an order, the client agrees that all sales, transactions, and disputes with La Galerie à la Mode are governed exclusively by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
The parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, for the resolution of any disputes.
For international orders, these terms remain binding and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. La Galerie à la Mode also reserves the right to pursue remedies in other jurisdictions if necessary to enforce payment obligations, intellectual property rights, or contract terms.
